Eric describes himself as a pretty happy person, and how could he not be? He’s a husband, a father, a soccer coach, and he’s also a proud Canadian. Not to mention, he’s been working in the incredibly exciting and dynamic cannabis industry since 2002. He saw the enormous potential for expansion long ago and decided he wanted to watch the market evolve while also being apart of it. He finally started Garden Culture Magazine in 2013 and has been sharing his love and passion for growing ever since.

Catherine has a degree in journalism and political science from Concordia University in Montreal. She worked in radio and television as a reporter and news anchor for ten years before starting a family. Now, she's living a quiet country life raising her two young kids with her husband and is loving every second of it. Her interests include healthy eating, fitness, animals, and anything outdoors.

Stephen Brookes

Stephen Brookes is a science fanatic, hydroponics obsessed bookworm that works at NPK Technology. He has a bachelor degree of Science in Outdoor Education and Geography, MSc in Nutrition and Scientific Investigation, and starts his PhD this autumn, researching the effects of different ratios of cannabinoids in the human body. Motto: The more you learn, the less you know!

Growing up on a deer farm located on 79 acres of land along the banks of one of Lake Michigan's tributaries, Tom grew a love for nature and all the beauties it could hold. Through that passion Tom has channeled his influences into educating the community on sustainable agriculture, becoming an activist, writing for magazines and creating music tuned to nature in his band Cosmic Knot.

Nico Hill

Nico has been a keen gardener for many moons. Bitten by the hydroponic bug back in 1998, and hasn't looked back since! After many years as a hobby, Nico’s career in Hydroponics had its start working for Aquaculture in Sheffield, the UK's largest and most forward-thinking grow shops of the time. He was then hired by Hydromag, responsible for the hydroponic content. From there, he has worked with CANNA, as editor of CANNAtalk, author of the research articles, and delivering seminars throughout the UK to grow shops on the finer details of cultivating in a hydroponic environment. Nico is now currently writing for a number of companies in the hydroponic industry.

Evan Folds

Evan Folds is a regenerative agricultural consultant with a background across every facet of the farming and gardening spectrum. He has founded and operated many businesses over the years - including a retail hydroponics store he operated for over 14 years, a wholesale company that formulated beyond organic products and vortex-style compost tea brewers, an organic lawn care company, and a commercial organic wheatgrass growing operation. He now works as a consultant in his new project Be Agriculture where he helps new and seasoned growers take their agronomy to the next level. What we think, we grow!

Tom Forrest

Founder of Indicated Technology Pty Ltd, Tom is a certified horticulturalist and paid consultant working in the Australian medical cannabis industry. After finishing studies in production horticulture (hydroponics) and plant biology; Tom has spent the past 6 years working in the protected cropping space. Tom is passionate about sustainable yet economic cultivation methodologies and also teaches cannabis cultivation as part of university and private education programs. Tom is also the Communications Manager for Stealth Garden wholesale supplies.

Dr Callie Seaman

Formulation Chemist/Director at Aqua Laboratories Ltd
I have been in the hydro industry for over 15 years, first working in the retail side providing technical advice, then moved into R&D, manufacturing and product development for brands such as Vita Link and Shogun. Currently, I am the formulation chemist at Aqua laboratories and work part-time as a post-doctorate researcher at Sheffield Hallam University. In 2017 I completed my Ph.D. thesis on the Investigation of nutrient solutions and other fertilizers for the hydroponic growth of plants and will graduate later this year. Both my Ph.D. and a first degree in Biomedical Sciences were done at Sheffield Hallam university part-time. During my Ph.D., I assisted in the setting up of Aqua laboratories and have always had a passion for science. I totally adore mushrooms and love anything todo with them.

He is a certified permaculture designer, certified nursery technician in Ohio and a certified nursery professional in New York, where he got his start in growing. He has written hundreds of articles, several books and hosted several radio programs devoted to the art and science of growing things.
