Write For Garden Culture
Do you love to write and have some growing knowledge you’re dying to share? Send us a pitch, but be sure to read what we’re looking for first!
Want to write for Garden Culture? Great, but please read the following carefully.
We’re always looking for new contributors to share their knowledge, whether about indoor or outdoor growing, various gardening techniques, pest and disease control, social-environmental issues, and more. There is no plant discrimination at Garden Culture; we love them all. Writing about your hands-on experience and offering tips and tricks for success gets bonus points. If you can help people be better growers, we want to hear from you!
What We Need From You
Your writing must be 100% original, clear, concise, motivational, and engaging. Deadlines and sources are essential, and please be sure your article is well-revised before submitting it. Blog articles should be around the 500-word mark. However, we accept longer feature pieces for the magazine.
There are a few things we will NOT accept at Garden Culture:
- Requests to add links to existing articles
- Sponsored posts and paid links
- Links in an article where the writer stands to make a profit from sellable items
- Pieces littered with spelling and grammatical errors
- This goes without saying, but plagiarized articles and those without sources are never accepted
Garden Culture is a magazine and blog by growers for growers. With consistently fresh and current content online, we have a large readership, and our magazine distributes in eight countries on three continents. We receive many inquiries every day, so make your article idea stand out while adhering to the above guidelines.
