Regional US, Canadian and Caribbean aquaponic associations come together every year for a 3-day trade show and learning extravaganza. This year’s conference is being held in Tuscon, Arizona on September 20-22 at the lovely Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.
Friday’s schedule is touring aquaponic farms and gardens around the area and the trade show officially opens. There’s also a meet and greet event in the evening.
Saturday and Sunday there’s a lot of educational and informational sessions to attend between checking out everything available from associate members and industry vendors. Keynote speakers for this year include the always interesting and entertaining, Joe Salatin, from Polyface Farms. If you’ve never read one of Salatin’s books, check out “Everything I Want To Do Is Illegal”.
Afternoons are devoted to workshops. There is one to fit everyone’s needs and interests: Fish & Plants, Sustainability, Home Gardening, Commercial Growing, and Community Non-Profits.
